What You Will Do

This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to binding and finishing operations. The incumbent in this role will be setting up and operating various binding and finishing machines and equipment and check the completed work for correct quality and quantity, this includes and is not limited to collators, folding machine, stitcher, laminator, shrink wrapper, cerlox punch, paper drill, folder and hydraulic paper cutter, eyelet setter and numbering machine. The incumbent in this role will operate a continuous feed MBO folder and operate a computerized polar cutter. This role will also require you to ensure that all work output is fully and accurately completed. The incumbent will also act as a back up for the High Speed Copier Operator and the Pre-press Bindery Operator as required. The incumbent in this role will also work in accordance with TTC’s commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC’s policies.  Participates in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.

What Qualifications Do you Bring

  • Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant policies, procedures and regulations
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office 365 (Excel/Access/Outlook/Teams/Word/PowerPoint/SharePoint)
  • Ability to handle changing priorities in a positive manner, and must be able to ensure that all operating and administrative problems are resolved with minimal interruption to the work of the section.
