SW Construction is looking for experienced Bricklayer to join our team in Scarborough. If you take pride in precise, durable craftsmanship and enjoy hands-on work — from residential fireplaces to decorative garden walls — we'd love to hear from you.

This is an on-site position; remote work is not available.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, and other masonry units
  • Read blueprints and sketches to estimate materials, tools, and equipment needed for each project
  • Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials for veneer facing
  • Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative masonry installations
  • Construct residential and commercial chimneys and fireplaces
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to spec using hand and power tools
  • Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures
  • Work safely at heights, on scaffolding, or on swing stages

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of masonry experience
  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Comfortable with physically demanding work, including heavy lifting, extended standing, and bending/kneeling/crouching
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A reliable team player with a client-focused approach
