NCCT is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization into its next
chapter of growth, innovation, and community impact. This is more than a CEO position. It is an
opportunity to lead with purpose.
Working closely with the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic leadership for an
organization with approximately $6 million in annual revenue and 55 employees, ensuring our programs,
services, people, and resources remain aligned with our mission and the evolving needs of the community.
At the heart of this role is an important opportunity: to elevate the voices, wisdom, knowledge, and lived
experience of Elders and seniors and ensure Indigenous history, culture, traditions, and knowledge are
carried forward to future generations.
What You’ll Lead
As CEO, you will:
● Set the Vision: Partner with the Board to shape and deliver NCCT’s strategic direction and
long-term priorities.
● Lead with Accountability: Oversee organizational performance, financial sustainability, risk
management, governance, and operational excellence.
● Build Strong Relationships: Serve as NCCT’s ambassador with government, Indigenous
organizations, funders, community partners, corporations, and other stakeholders.
● Champion Culture: Strengthen Indigenous cultural knowledge, traditions, history, and
intergenerational connections.
● Inspire People: Lead and develop a team of approximately 55 employees while fostering a
respectful, culturally safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
● Drive Sustainability: Strengthen funding, fundraising, partnerships, revenue diversification, and
organizational capacity.
● Create Impact: Ensure NCCT’s programs and services are responsive to the needs and priorities
of Canada’s urban Indigenous population.
● Lead Change: Identify opportunities for innovation, growth, partnerships, and continuous
improvement.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a strategic thinker, relationship builder, community champion, and inspirational
leader who can balance vision with execution.

You bring:
● Significant senior executive leadership experience.
● Experience leading a complex organization, preferably in the Indigenous, non-profit, community,
public, or social services sector.
● Experience overseeing a multi-million-dollar budget and a diverse workforce.
● Strong Board governance and strategic planning experience.
● Demonstrated financial, operational, and organizational leadership.
● Experience building government, community, philanthropic, and strategic partnerships.
● Exceptional communication, negotiation, advocacy, and relationship-building skills.
● Experience leading organizational change and developing high-performing teams.
● A strong understanding and respect for Indigenous cultures, communities, histories, and the issues
affecting urban Indigenous peoples.
● A genuine commitment to reconciliation, cultural preservation, community empowerment, and
Indigenous leadership.

passion for making a difference.

This is a one-year term contract commencing December 1, 2026, with the opportunity for renewal based
on satisfactory performance and formal approval by the Board of Directors.
