EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
RESPONSIBLE TO: Manager – Family Visits & Support Team
Under the general supervision of the Child Welfare Manager, the part-time Family Visit and Support Worker will be responsible for providing administrative and service functions within the child welfare service department. The part-time Family Visit and Support Worker will assist Child Protection Workers with a variety of tasks inclusive of instrumental support to protection, including facilitating clinical family visits and providing a range of interventions including assessment, supervision, teaching child management and parenting skill development, while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of children participating in family visits.
The Family Visit and Support program is open 6 days a week to meet the varied needs of clients. The part-time Family Visit and Support Worker will be scheduled to work up to 24 hours per week with a combination of weekdays, evenings and Saturdays, both in office and in the community, between the hours of 8:30am to 8:00pm on weekdays and between 8:00am and 4:30pm on Saturdays.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: In accordance with the Collective Agreement Community and Family Support 1 Grid - $26.68 - $35.01 per hour
