The Gluer is responsible for applying adhesives to furniture components and assembling parts according to product specifications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of finished furniture products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply glue or adhesive to plastic, wood, fabric, foam, or other materials using a glue gun.
- Position and align parts according to work instructions.
- Clamp or press parts together to bond them securely.
- Inspect materials before and after gluing to ensure proper adhesion and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
- Follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Report any defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Assist in other areas of the production line as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in furniture manufacturing or gluing/adhesive application is an asset.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Physically able to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and carry materials (up to 50 lbs.).

- Stair Climbing: Occasional.
- Ladder use: Occasional.
- Ability to Use Hands: Constant handling of a glue gun, utility knife, scissors.
- Pushing/Pulling: Occasional to Frequent.
- Grip Strength: Moderate to high.

Required to perform 2-8 hours per shift.

Chemical Exposure:
- Use of water-based adhesive on a regular basis.
- Use of solvents occasionally.

- Exposed to sound and noise levels, chemicals and dust.

- Safety shoes, safety glasses, mask, ear plugs.
