Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Toronto, the Harm Reduction Manager will oversee and manage harm reduction programming to support Indigenous youth. They will lead the harm reduction team, supervise outreach initiatives, monitor budgets, ensure compliance with organizational policies, and maintain accurate records. The role requires building and maintaining community partnerships, providing team guidance, and fostering a collaborative, culturally responsive environment while prioritizing youth empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and Supervise the harm reduction Outreach department
- Supervise the initiatives of the team and provide harm reduction outreach services in the community.
- ensure the department has proper supplies for the outreach, including drug drug testing kits, naloxone, and safer sex supplies.
- Ensure the team’s timesheets are submitted accurately and on time.
- Oversee harm reduction workers and their outreach work, including activities in encampments and facilities.
- Build and maintain community partnerships with harm reduction organizations to address the needs of vulnerable Indigenous youth.
- Entry of notes into our data based system.
- Attend the monthly Youth Council and Board meetings.
- Engage directly with the youth and provide quality care.
- Seek and apply for future funding to support the growth of ENAGB.
- Monitor all budgets as it pertains to youth programs.
- Ensure confidentiality of privileged information.
- Ensuring a team approach.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the ENAGB Youth Program.
- Other related duties as it relates to this position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or a combination of work experience of at least 2-3 years in related fields.
- Experience working with marginalized communities such as homeless or under-housed individuals, street-involved youth, psychiatric consumer/survivors, sex trade workers, and drug users
- Ability to be open, non-judgemental and willing to learn
- Must have extensive knowledge of the Indigenous community (Inuit, Metis or First Nation).
- Fluent in an Indigenous language and knowledge of Indigenous cultures is an asset.
- Adequate energy and ability to meet the physical, and mental demands of the job.
- A valid Standard First Aid and CPR.
- Valid Driver's license is a mandatory requirement.
- A positive, fun-loving attitude.
- The ability to work as a team and be self-motivated.
- Cleared Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSC) is mandatory.
- Positive attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Compensation and Location
Salary: $40
Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Wednesday to Sunday 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Location: Toronto
Duration: Start date will depend on the availability of the funding agreement and the contract will conclude on June 12, 2026
