Purpose of the Role:

The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support and will handle day-to-day HR related activities at JUMP Math. Reporting to the HR Generalist, the HR Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring a full cycle recruitment process is administered and will be able to manage the onboarding process for new hires. This supporting role will primarily assist the HR Generalist in making sure that all staff are compliant and update policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook as required.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours/week)1-year contract role with benefits.

Key Accountabilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Collaborate with HR Generalist to process full cycle recruitment (i.e. post job via social media platforms, screen candidate resumes, performing reference checks, etc.)
  • Coordinate to make sure that all staff are compliant via Citation Canada platform
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires (i.e. onboarding meeting, handle the end of probation process)

Human Resources:

  • Update HR related documents as needed (i.e. organization chart, Employee handbook, etc.)
  • Assist with performance management procedures
  • Maintain filing HR documents via SharePoint
  • Act as a triage for the HR Generalist with day-to-day HR related activities

Qualifications (minimums):

  • A post-secondary diploma in Bachelor of Commerce or Human Resources certificate; or equivalent work experience.
  • Previously working as an HR Assistant would be an asset
  • A passion for education and the possibilities of math education to change lives
  • Able to work remotely

This is a full-time role for an Indigenous candidate (First Nations, Inuit or Métis) who resides within the Greater Toronto Area. Candidates must be registered with Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training.
