The Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation is seeking an individual to lead a community consultation process to better understand palliative and end-of-life care needs. This work will involve engaging with Elders, families, caregivers, and community members to hear their experiences, priorities, and cultural needs. The consultation will assess existing services, identify strengths and gaps, and review best practices in Indigenous-focused palliative care. The outcome will be a comprehensive needs assessment with recommendations for a sustainable, culturally safe palliative care strategy that reflects Anishinabe values and supports collaboration with regional partners.
