Personal Support Worker – Home Support

Pointcare Health Services Inc. is hiring six Personal Support Workers – Home Support for permanent, full-time employment in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Wage: $28.00 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week

Start date: As soon as possible

Work arrangement: On-site; remote work is not available.

Schedules include early mornings, mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and shifts. Overtime is required.

Responsibilities
• Assist clients in water, such as a pool.
• Change non-sterile dressings.
• Collect specimens.
• Feed or assist clients with feeding.
• Provide personal care.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.

Requirements
• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Seven months to less than one year of relevant experience.
• A criminal record check.
• Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks involving bending, crouching, kneeling, prolonged standing and walking.

Client groups include adults, older adults, young adults and persons with intellectual, mental health or physical disabilities. The work environment is non-smoking.
