Role Overview

The Beautiful Mind Clinic is seeking a compassionate, reflective Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) to join our multidisciplinary team. This hybrid role is designed for a clinician who values professional autonomy while wanting the support of an established practice transitioning to a new physical location in Toronto.

Our clinic prioritizes Indigenous, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive frameworks, with a specific commitment to providing culturally safe psychological interventions for Indigenous and marginalised communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care: Provide individual, couple, or family psychotherapy using Indigenous knowledge and ways paired with evidence-informed modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, or somatic approaches).
  • Assessments & Planning: Conduct comprehensive clinical intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that honour each client’s lived experience and nervous system.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records in a secure Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in accordance with CRPO, OCSWSSW or National Indigenous Accreditation Board (NIAB) standards.
  • Community & Advocacy: Incorporate Indigenous knowledge and methodology, act as an advocate for clients, providing referrals and connecting them with appropriate community resources in the GTA.

Hybrid Work Structure

  • Remote Work: Four days per week providing virtual therapy sessions via secure video platforms.
  • In-Office Requirements: Minimum commitment of one dedicated day per week at our Toronto office to provide in-person therapy and contribute to daily operations.
  • Meetings: Mandatory participation in regular case consultations, interdisciplinary team meetings, and peer supervision sessions, virtually or in person.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Registration: Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or a related field, with valid registration in good standing with the CRPO, National Indigenous Accreditation Board (NIAB), or OCSWSSW.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed practice and a strong understanding of the impact of systemic marginalization.
  • Cultural Competence: Specific training or demonstrated skill in Indigenous knowledge exchange and culturally safe practices, including two-eyed seeing approaches.
  • Independence: Ability to work autonomously as an independent contractor, including maintaining personal professional liability insurance.
