Kent Monkman is an interdisciplinary Cree visual artist. A member of Fisher River Cree Nation in Treaty 5 Territory (Manitoba), he lives and works in Dish With One Spoon Territory (Toronto, Canada). Known for his provocative interventions into Western European and American art history, Monkman explores themes of colonization, sexuality, loss, and resilience—the complexities of historic and contemporary Indigenous experiences—across painting, film/video, performance, and installation.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Studio Assistant supports efficient daily running of the Studio through stocking of Studio supplies, upkeep of inventory, running of errands, handling of shipping and receiving, and assists with other projects as needed.

Hours of Work
35 hours per week; Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. (four-day, in-office schedule).
