Job Overview & Location of work:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be intimately involved in the daily accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, very organized and a commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger Management
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

- Banks, Credit cards, AR Aging, AP Aging, Inventory etc.

- Develop and maintain schedules (Prepaid, accruals etc.)

- Preparation of AR invoices.

- Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries.
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

Financial Reporting
- Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements – to include Job/Contract Financial Statements
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
- Provide detailed variance analysis and explanations of significant differences.

Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Oversee accounts receivable processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate collection of receivables.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.

Compliance and Audits
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
- Maintain proper documentation and support for financial transactions.

Tax and Regulatory Filings

Back up for:
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all tax reporting requirements.

Financial Analysis and Support
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.

- Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies and KPIs.

Cost Control and Cash Flow Management
- Monitor and control operating costs.
- Implement strategies to optimize cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Manage daily cash flow and banking transactions.
- Optimize cash handling procedures and ensure financial liquidity.

Other
- Undertake special projects as directed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience.

Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.

- Strong Excel Skills

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Drivers License and reliable vehicle required.

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
