Compensation: $37.00 per hour

Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA) – Hybrid (remote with some in-person as needed)

Reports to: Project Manager/Director, Tera Beaulieu

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Curriculum Developer to join our team in creating engaging, culturally responsive educational resources and training materials. The Curriculum Developer will work closely with our staff, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community partners to design and adapt curriculum that reflects Indigenous worldviews, trauma-informed approaches, and best practices in adult education.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with staff and community members to design curriculum for workshops, training, and community programming.
  • Develop learning objectives, lesson plans, facilitator guides, and participant materials.
  • Ensure content is culturally grounded, trauma-informed, and accessible.
  • Adapt existing resources and create new materials as needed.
  • Support evaluation of curriculum effectiveness and make improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or education.
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous histories, cultures, and contemporary realities.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Eligibility

This position is subsidized through Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment & Training. To apply, candidates must:
