The Opportunity
The Indigenous Network Manager is a relational leader and facilitator who practices cultural humility and shared leadership, with a passion for designing conversations and resources that support collaboration and shared learning across organizations. The Indigenous Network Manager is a thoughtful, creative, passionate individual who is excited to share their cultural and personal perspectives and ideas, and who enjoys finding ways to create space for others to share their stories.
This position is situated as a key member of a supportive team that works hard to create a space in which all voices are heard. As a team we’re committed to learning from each other as a continuous process, and making adaptations to the way we work, to better support our partners, as an integral part of our success.
Working within Right To Food’s Programs Department, the Indigenous Network Manager, in collaboration with our Knowledge Exchange team, will coordinate the activities of the Indigenous Network, and contribute to content development, facilitation and partner support within the broader Good Food Organizations program, a network of over 450 Good Food Organizations and Community Food Centres working on food security programming across Canada.
The Network Manager will work in collaboration with Right To Food Program staff to coordinate regular virtual meet ups and gatherings, develop resources including profiling network stories, compile Indigenous food program materials, build new relationships and complete program evaluation.
The Indigenous Network, which began in 2018, continues to grow, and currently has participation from organizations across our network who offer Indigenous led food security programs. The Indigenous Network is co-created with Right To Food and its membership. As a non-Indigenous organization, Right To Food recognizes our unique role in supporting a wide range of Indigenous-led and serving programs. We are committed to meeting organizations where they are at, offering diverse program options to foster reconciliation and resurgence.
