POSITION SUMMARY:

Join our team as an Infrastructure and Systems Analyst, reporting to the Manager, IT, where you'll play a vital role in protecting our critical infrastructure. As an integral part of the IT team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing cybersecurity applications, with a strong focus on Azure security, server and data center operations, ZTNA and firewalls, CrowdStrike EDR, IT asset management (ITAM), identity and access management, and patching tools. In this role, you'll help ensure the security and integrity of our IT environment by proactively monitoring threats, maintaining effective system protections, and implementing robust asset and patch management strategies. We’re looking for a candidate with solid expertise in cybersecurity tools and cloud security who is passionate about building and maintaining a secure, resilient infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team and vendors to deploy, configure, and maintain security tools (Falcon Complete, Zscaler, SIEM, Azure Security Center, Azure firewalls, Intune, Defender, NinjaOne Patching, Office 365, IDS/IPS, and more).
  • Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory, categorize assets by criticality, and assess associated cyber risks to prioritize risk mitigation efforts.
  • Manage and enhance TNPI’s Azure and Office 365 security environments, including monitoring and responding to security incidents and alerts.
  • Configure and maintain CrowdStrike Falcon Complete, Zscaler, and MS Azure Cloud security tools.
  • Implement, monitor, and operate security controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct self-assessments to verify control effectiveness and update documentation for audits and compliance checks.
  • Manage the patching process and host hardening for all operating systems and infrastructure devices.
  • Assist with firewall configuration and management, ensuring optimal security and performance.
  • Perform regular system administration for security tools, including updates, patches, and upgrades.
  • Analyze and manage security tool logs, working with SIEM vendors to monitor for suspicious activity.
  • Set up security permissions and configure user access by functional group.
  • Provide technical support for security tools and work closely with the cybersecurity team to improve security practices.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for security tool management.
  • Address security remediations and resolve vulnerabilities identified in scans and assessments.
  • Support security incident response by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating threats.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • 6 years of experience with deploying, configuring, and supporting a range of security tools, with a strong focus on Azure.
  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity Computer Science, or equivalent education.
  • Proven experience in managing and configuring IT and security tools and technologies
  • Strong technical skills in system administration, patch management, and firewall configuration.
  • Extensive knowledge of security management for Azure and Office 365. 
  • Knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, zero-trust, antivirus, and endpoint protection systems.
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preference for:

  • Experience with vulnerability management and remediation.
  • Familiarity with IT and cybersecurity best practices and frameworks.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • This position is based out of the Richmond Hill office, located at 310-45 Vogell Road, with the flexibility to be based out of Calgary or Edmonton. 
  • Hours of work are a regular 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
