Target Salary Range: $45,000 - $48,000 per year (Subsidized by Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training's Targeted Wage Subsidy Program & Service Canada)

This is a full-time role for an Indigenous candidate (First Nations, Inuit or Métis) who resides within the Greater Toronto Area. Candidates must be registered with Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training.

Purpose of the Role

The Operations and Administration Coordinator's (Trainee) purpose is to provide operations and administrative support to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the JUMP Math Head Office in downtown Toronto. It will support the work of the Senior Leadership Teams (SLT) Executive Assistant and the Director, Finance and Operations with various administration and operations related tasks and projects that support the wider JUMP Math team that work in the office or remotely.

The Operations and Administration Coordinator (Trainee) will support the day-to-day operations and administration to ensure the wider JUMP Math team has the support it needs to fulfill its vision to create a more numerate and equitable society for all through mathematics education. This role will coordinate tasks such as procurement of supplies, office management, reception and hosting duties for visitors, answering calls and inquiries as required, filing, data entry, updating routine reports, liaising with the building management and other administrative duties.


Key Accountabilities

  • Provide support for procurement of supplies and services
  • Assist in tracking software subscriptions of the wider JUMP Math team
  • Respond to email or phone queries from within JUMP Math team and external sources
  • File documents in paper and electronic filing systems
  • Update routine reports for the team
  • Follow up on late Accounts Receivable with guidance and support from the Accounting Team
  • Assist with office maintenance requests and liaison with the landlord
  • Coordinate equipment and document courier delivery and pick up/drop off
  • Coordinate distribution of hard-copy correspondence
  • Perform other data entry, clerical, and administrative duties as required

Qualifications (minimums)

  • A post-secondary diploma is an asset; or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience with customer service, and performing administrative tasks
  • A passion for education and the possibilities of math education to change lives
  • Able to work remotely
