As part of the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF) team, the Program Assistant, Legacy Schools supports the Education Team. The Legacy Schools Program Assistant ensures timely, accurate and on-going coordination to ensure the achievement of goals regarding the implementation and growth of the Legacy Schools program.

Your Responsibilities
Coordinate tracking of Legacy Schools throughout the country, including but not limited to social media, school outreach, and assisting in maintaining data on Salesforce
Assist with ongoing data integrity, ensuring mailing information for all educators, organizations and Boards is kept up-to-date
Assist in maintaining ongoing relationships with Legacy School educators
Assist in representing DWF at conferences and events
Assist with developing educator communications (emails, social posts, evaluation surveys) and answer questions, and requests for support
Work closely with Education Resource Specialist, Associate, Education and Activation, Coordinator, Education and Marketing & Communications to ensure reconciliACTIONs and success stories are being shared on DWF social media, and curriculum and teaching tools, are continuously updated online
Assist with year-end Legacy School survey disbursement and completion, monitoring data collection, and analysis
Assist with resource management and integration into the HUB (Airtable/LMS)

Post-secondary diploma/degree in administration or experience in an administrative position is considered an asset
Discretionary skills to manage confidential information
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management skills with an ability to plan, define measurable objectives, outcomes and meet timelines
Demonstrated understanding and experience working with Educators and Communities
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding and appreciation for Indigenous culture, traditions, and practices
Experience with on-line teaching/learning methods and programs a definite asset
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (including Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint), internet, social media platforms, and general office equipment
Current Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening is required
Must possess laptop or desktop computer to work remote (from home) efficiently
