Role Summary

Join a team that is transforming data and analytics at Sun Life Financial (SLF) Canada. Sun Life's Client Experience Office (CXO) Analytics area is rapidly enhancing its campaign design and data integration capability with new tools and fresh talent. As a Campaign Data Analytics Student, you will support our team in delivering end-to-end campaign solutions while gaining hands-on experience in digital marketing analytics, testing, and marketing technology modernization.

What Will You Do?

As a Campaign Data Analytics Student, your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the planning, setup, and execution of outbound and inbound digital campaigns in partnership with campaign stakeholders
  • Assist in enabling campaigns end-to-end—from strategy and design through implementation and deployment
  • Participate in campaign testing and quality assurance to ensure campaigns perform as expected
  • Work with the team to implement, test, and optimize marketing technology solutions and tools
  • Perform data profiling and analysis to support campaign targeting and audience segmentation
  • Support campaign target list generation, measurement, and reporting
  • Gather and document business requirements, key performance indicators, and functional specifications
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders—marketers, analysts, web developers, content designers—to develop marketing automation programs
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize campaign delivery processes
  • Contribute to modernizing our marketing technology solutions and practices
  • Support stakeholders throughout the campaign implementation process and help resolve discrepancies
  • Learn and develop technical and business acumen in a supportive, agile team environment

What Will You Need to Succeed?

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in a field with a strong technical core such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Analytics, Engineering Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Commerce, or equivalent
  • Foundational knowledge or willingness to quickly develop skills in analytical programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python)
  • Strong curiosity and genuine drive for learning—both formally and informally—to develop technical skills and understand business challenges
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset, particularly regarding testing and validation

What Will Be Nice to Have?

  • Exposure to campaign execution, marketing automation, or digital marketing concepts
  • Basic understanding of marketing technology platforms or tools
  • Cloud platform experience
  • General programming language knowledge
  • Experience with data visualization or reporting tools
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies
