Position: Programming Specialist, Bell Media

Location: TSN, 9 Channel Nine Court

Salary: According to skills and experience

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week; overtime as needed

The Content Strategy team is a dedicated group who work hard to ensure TSN’s place as Canada’s Sports Leader. We are the behind-the-scenes hub that connects with nearly all sides of the sports broadcasting business

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize business and sports expertise to maximize TSN’s programming value across digital and linear platforms
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of properties and platforms
  • Research and plan for your properties
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining multiple scheduling databases
  • Be able to plan and communicate on-air troubleshooting scenarios for live events
  • Work cooperatively with internal departments to ensure effective communication of all content plans
  • Responsible for preparation and communication of programming and content
  • Work directly with key internal and external stakeholders (including sports leagues)
  • Screen and prepare content for broadcast
  • Maintain the FEED Resources schedule with up to date requirements based on program needs 
  • Follow program schedules and arrange tools required to aid our Presentation Coordinators in
  • Troubleshoot on-air programming issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Critical Qualifications

  • Strong sports knowledge and a passion for sports requirer
  • Experience in a media environment strongly preferred
  • Maintain accuracy while handling multiple projects on a daily basis
  • Must be able to maintain large volumes of information within a programming database
  • Ability to catch errors and have the analytical ability to seek solutions to correct them
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, while comfortable managing your own deadlines
  • Previous experience with IBMS, cue sheets, and paper editing an asset but not required
