YourResponsibilities Digital Content Creation
Assist in the implementation of a new photo and video database for DWF’s digital assets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging content for various marketing channels.
Assist with graphic design tasks such as creating visuals for social media, website, events, and email campaigns.
Produce engaging website content in support of charity marketing initiatives, writing copy and sourcing imagery that communicates the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund’s brand to encourage website views.
Review DWF’s library of videos and create short vertical videos that can be used on social media platforms.
Website
Collaborate with other team members to support website content updates.
• Drive traffic to the website by ensuring content is built and tagged consistently with SEO techniques and best practices while upholding the editorial standards of the DWF brand.
EmailMarketing&SocialMedia
Assist with DWF’s email marketing program (newsletter and donor emails) including copywriting, graphic design, and project management
Assist with email list management in Salesforce
Monitor open and click-through rates, optimizing email campaigns as needed.
Support DWF’s social media strategy by scheduling posts, researching tags and handles, monitoring engagement, responding to inquiries, and analyzing metrics.
Assist in the implementation of DWF’s social content calendar across platforms, including but not limited to content ideation (both internally and externally), drafting content, and scheduling posts.
And other projects as assigned to help keep DWF moving forward, with a view to long-term sustainability, growth, and broad community engagement.

Post-secondary diploma/degree in marketing / communications or experience in a marketing / communications position is considered an asset
Discretionary skills to manage confidential information
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational/time management skills with an ability to manage multiple demands, meet deadlines, take initiative, and work as a member of a team
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working with Indigenous Peoples and communities is preferred and knowledge of Indigenous cultures and traditions is preferred
Experience working with a donor database is considered an asset
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint), internet, social media platforms, and general office equipment
Current Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening is required
