Purpose of the Role:

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator (Trainee) role is intended to support JUMP Math’s marketing & communications efforts to increase targeted public awareness of JUMP Math and drive customer adoption of our education resources, as well as encourage donor engagement and support for our charitable work.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator (Trainee) will work with the team to increase brand awareness, amplify our impact storytelling and build customer and donor engagement with JUMP Math’s education resources and charitable initiatives. The role will coordinate tactical support for our internal and external communications efforts, media relations activities, and customer/stakeholder marketing (web, email and social) across all channels. This will include helping to coordinate project requests, tracking and measuring the impact of campaigns and initiatives, updating website content and contributing content to our social media, blog and e-newsletter. The role will also coordinate general administration for the team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in growing customer and donor awareness of our program offerings and charitable work
  • Support internal and external communications, including sharing success stories with existing and potential customers, donors and stakeholders
  • Assist JUMP Math in implementing its public awareness campaigns and initiatives
  • Coordinate external-facing content such as writing basic social and blog posts,
  • Maintain up-to-date mailing lists, tracking media metrics using dashboards, etc.

Qualifications (minimums):

  • A post-secondary diploma or certificate; or equivalent work or community experience.
  • Experience with customer service, and/or administrative tasks. 

• Basic experience with MS Office 365 (Word, Power Point, Excel, Sharepoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • Training will be provided

This is a full-time role for an Indigenous candidate (First Nations, Inuit or Métis) who resides within the Greater Toronto Area. Candidates must be registered with Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training.
